Robert & June welcome you to

The Shoulder of Mutton

Our historic public house in the village of Barton-under-Needwood. You cannot miss the Shoulder of Mutton public house when you visit Barton-under-Needwood.
It is in the centre of the village facing the small green and St. James'Church. It is the epitome of the classic village green scene. You can enjoy a wide range of
excellent food and drink served in a gem of a building, dating back, in part, to 1640. With low beamed ceilings and a real fire, the Shoulder of Mutton enjoys
a terrific atmosphere, catering for all ages. It has fine food, real ale, and features a fantastic patioed beer garden with beautiful greenery and a classic shelter.
All this combined makes for an excellent all-round village pub, which appeals to just about everyone. It is no wonder that the Shoulder of Mutton is featured in the
Good Pub Guide and the CAMRA Good Beer Guide! Our gem of a public house is close to the famous Staffordshire brewing town of Burton-upon-Trent. Just off the A38,
our pub is a short ride away from the home of Bass and Marstons. It is also on route 5 of the National Cycle Network. Burton-upon-Trent railway station is a short taxi ride away.
Feel free to browse on our website. If any of this has whetted your appetite for our fine food and real ales, why not call in. We will make you feel welcome.
